"Hello! My name is Charlie Allen and in May 2019 my husband Gavin and I set up Sleepy Bee Studio. We are a creative design studio based in Cambridge, specialising in creative stationery and gifts. My background is in buying, illustration and product design - and Gav is a graphic designer and artworker.

The stationery collections we design are all based on themes, with the first four all inspired by our hometown of Cambridge and aptly named Cambridge, Botanical, Darwin and Stargazer. Our latest theme is The Ethereal Collection, which features a selection of stationery goods with an abstract look taken from our original alcohol ink paintings.

Packaging is our kryptonite, we both have a bit of an obsession with it and so it is a really important factor in everything produced. Our aim is to provide you with a beautiful, premium product and something you almost don’t want to unwrap.

All our stationery printed products are produced in the UK using FSC® certified stock and the illustrated tissue paper is produced by an Eco-Alliance company that plants a tree for each order placed.

In January 2020, we won the Paper Award for Best Stationery Design at Top Drawer - our first ever trade show! We take on bespoke work and commissions with both individuals and businesses looking for a specific design or product and we also trade at the All Saints Craft Market in Cambridge." — CHARLIE
