"Garnett Crafts has been trading since early 2020. Born during lockdown whilst my day job was mothballed, and my long-term hobby took over. The main and most enjoyable product of my small business continues to be the ever-popular Display Puzzles crafted by hand using my scroll saw.
These Display Puzzles take many forms such as dogs, cats, horses, farm and wild animals, tractors, caravans, mythical creatures and more. They have proven very popular gifts all the year through. As this enterprise has grown and developed the website has been integral to my business plan and has helped to sell to almost all postcode areas in the UK and Ireland.
October 2021 saw the exciting development of becoming a regular stallholder at the All Saints Garden Craft Market in Trinity Street, Cambridge. It is a superb craft market running each Saturday throughout the year. This has given me another successful outlet and I have made new friends and contacts amongst the stall holders and customers alike.
Garnett Crafts can now be found at many different markets throughout the year. Waterbeach Community Market on the 3rd Sunday of each month throughout the year and craft markets in Bury St Edmunds amongst others often in conjunction with Igglypig Arts who creates some amazing pyrography products.
This year, 2022, will find us with a two day stall at the Cambridge Steam Rally in July, another exciting venture to look forward to. I have also developed the bespoke side of the business offering personalised puzzles which has been very popular. Just get in contact to discuss a project.
So, Garnett Crafts is moving forward with more products in development, more exciting outlets and plenty of plans moving forward. With the core principle of quality craftsmanship, producing handmade items from sustainable materials with the key style coming from my scroll saw and hand finishing, the future looks good." — NICK
